| VISITATION - MONDAY EVENINGS |
God continues to bless us with new families each and every Sunday. People are needed to help visit these new families on Monday evenings. We gather at the church at 6:30 PM, or you can pick up a packet and visit anytime during the week that is convenient for you. Please contact Pastor Heath or Pastor Thad at the office for more details.

| WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER - MISSION ROC'N COSTA RICA |
| This meal for November 19 will be BBQ, cole slaw, baked beans, and chips (hot dogs will also be available). Cost is $2.50 per child, $5.00 per adult, maximum of $20.00 per family. We will have a Thanksgiving service, which will include the Lord’s Supper, on Wednesday, November 26th at 6:30 PM.

| CHILDCARE NEEDED FOR USS BATAAN |
| Our church has the opportunity to support the USS Bataan by providing childcare for the annual Christmas party. It will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Portsmouth on December 11th (times to be determined). There will be approximately 60 to 100 children. If you can help, please sign up at Info Central. | OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD |
Would you like to bring joy to a child who may have never received a gift at Christmas? Operation Christmas Child is a great way to do just that. You can provide a gift of love, joy, and hope by filling a shoe box(es) with toys, hygiene items, candy, etc. and a personal note from you and your family. Collection of these "gifts of love" will be held from October 15 through Sunday, November 16. Additional information, as well as collection materials, is available at the Operation Christmas Child table in the church foyer or by contacting Wanda. |

| MEN'S BREAKFAST |
| December 13th 8AM to 10AM featuring Artery Hardening Breakfast Delights and special guest Captain Samuel Howard, Commanding Officer of the USS BATAAN (LHD-5). Space is limited so please RSVP to Tom Cook or sign up at Info Central on Sunday. The event will be held at the Church. Donations to defray the cost are welcome. Children are also welcome, but there will be no childcare provided |

| ANGEL TREE |
River Oak is partnering again this year with the Community Resource Network of Chesapeake to bring Christmas to families in transitional housing. The shelter which these families live in, Our House, teaches the families skills and provides them education so they can hold jobs and become financially independent. This year we have been asked to provide Christmas for five families, which include eleven children. Also this year, Angel Tree donations will benefit members of River Oak Church as well as members of the community. Through confidential submissions, church members have the opportunity to nominate individuals to receive assistance. Forms are available at Info Central and must be submitted by November 23rd . Angel tree collections are scheduled to begin November 30th and will continue until December 14th. If you have any questions, please contact Tracy Papp

| CENTRI-KID |
It's that time again...time to start getting ready for Centri-kid! Centri-Kid is a summer camp "of high-energy worship, age-appropriate Bible study, highly-trained and relational staff, and more fun than you can handle!". Designed specificially for kids who have completed 3rd - 6th grades, Centri-Kid is always a HUGE hit with our kids at ROC. This year's dates are July 27-31 at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center in Lynchburg, VA. We will be having a brief informational meeting on Sunday, December 7th immediately following the service in the HighTide room. If you are interested, but cannot attend this meeting, please contact ginger@riveroakchurch.org, as we have a limited number of slots that may fill quickly. |

Parents Night Out - for children ages birth - 5th Grade. Friday, November 21 from 6-9 pm. $5 per child.
Parents Day Out - on Saturday, November 29 from 9 am - noon. $5 per child. Sign up at the Youth Table at Info Central on Sunday mornings.
